Our staff team is highly valued and we pride ourselves in having a consistent staff team. For us, our commitment to our team mirrors our commitment to our children. All members of the team are fully qualified, experienced and supported by a strong management team. They are all enthusiastic and caring – combining a love of young children with professional expertise. This is coupled with an understanding of the children’s needs and their development processes.
The Nursery Proprietor/Manager, Rachel Forster has over 15 years’ experience in childcare and holds an Honors Degree in Child and Family Studies and Qualified teacher status. This coupled with the fact that she is a mother herself means that the nursery is run in a caring and professional manner.
Staff learning and motivation are of utmost. Self evaluation is key and we do this through:
• Comprehensive learning targets
• Continuous professional development
• Various training opportunities
• Days for team training and team building
The setting has members of staff with qualifications and responsibility in specialist areas such as children’s special needs, health and safety, nutrition, baby massage and forest school.
We are very proud to say that all our staff hold a paediatric first aid certificate and we also hold first aid for training for parents. With robust policies and risk assessments, we can ensure your child is in safe hands.

How do we safeguard your child
Our nursery has Designated Lead Persons for Safeguarding who are responsible for ensuring they keep their own training and knowledge up to date as well as that of our team.
All of our team go through a rigorous two part interview process with a panel and must have a clear enhanced DBS check and two satisfactory references before completing a probation period, followed by an in-depth review. All staff members must attend Safeguarding training and have regular updates.
We operate a ‘no lone working’ policy where there must always be a minimum of 2 adults present. We also have a Key person system, where every child is allocated a specific member of the team who will work closely with your family and speak to you about any concerns we have regarding your child’s welfare unless we feel they are at immediate risk, in which case we will make a referral to Children’s Social Care.
For more detailed information please read our safeguarding policy or speak to one of the Management team.
We believe in creating a home from home where children thrive and their imaginations are encouraged indoors and out.
Our EthosOur meals are made with no refined sugar, reduced salt, and lots of love! Prepared on-site, we cater for all little tastebuds.
MealsOur recently refurbished rooms coupled with our fantastic outdoor areas offer space for children to play, learn and relax.
